Our aim is to provide an environment which is conducive to the attainment of top class academic results, high moral and ethical standards based on Christian values, social and cultural awareness and participation in one or more of the many sports available at College. At College every girl is important , and we will look for the best in your daughter and will encourage her. She will make friendships within the gates of College that will sustain her for the rest of her life.
We also extend a cordial invitation to you to attend one of our school Open Days or Open Evenings. You will experience our school spirit and the qualities which make College special. APPLICATION INFORMATION
Admission Procedures
The “Application for Admission” form must be completed, signed by both parents, and returned accompanied by the application fee.
Parents are advised to seek admission early as places are frequently oversubscribed before the admission date.
In the year preceding proposed admission, parents will be contacted by post. If no letter has been received from the school by March of the year preceding the admission year, it is the parents’ responsibility to contact the school.

Girls will be required to sit an entrance examination in English, Mathematics and/or other key subjects or, in the case of Grade R and Grade 1, a school readiness assessment. Parents will be notified whether or not their daughters have been accepted. Girls are accepted into Grade R from the year in which they turn five or six (depending on their date of birth) and into Grade 1 from the year in which they turn six or seven (depending on their date of birth).
Girls and parents will be afforded an opportunity to have a tour around the school and will be invited to our Open Day.
Application Fee
A non-refundable fee of R300 per student is payable at the time of submitting an application for admission. This is to cover administration costs.
Acceptance Fee
In the event of a place being offered by the school, a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of R4 000 is payable, either by cheque or direct deposit, and is in addition to any subsequent tuition fee which becomes due. The fee must accompany an Undertaking in favour of the school which is required to be signed by both parents or guardians, or, in the case of one parent/guardian, the parent/guardian and an acceptable surety.
Tuition Fees
Tuition fees include the provision of tuition, career counselling, pastoral care, use of the libraries and sports facilities. In addition tuition fees cover the provision of a large range of sporting and cultural activities. Specific details are available on request.
Boarding Fees
Boarding fees include board, laundry, supervised preparation time and care in the sick bay for short periods.
Sibling Allowance
A tuition fee concession of 5% of the annual fee is given for the second daughter, and 10% for each subsequent child, provided that they attend the school concurrently.
Bursaries and Scholarships
Several bursaries and scholarships are available at Grade 8 level. These awards are tenable for the whole of a girl’s senior school career provided that she maintains good academic results and is a worthy recipient. Parents requesting consideration for a bursary will be asked to provide a confidential motivation.
Payment Terms
Fees are charged quarterly and are payable in advance, on or before the first day of each term. Interest will be charged at the ruling prime overdraft rate on all outstanding amounts.
Should your daughter be offered a place at College, a detailed schedule of fees and terms and methods of payment will be sent to you on acceptance.
Parents who experience problems with the payment of fees during their daughter’s years at College are advised to seek an interview with the Headmaster or Bursar.
Notice of Withdrawal
In the event of a pupil not taking up her enrolment or being withdrawn from the school, the parent, guardian or other person responsible for the payment of fees is required to give in writing to the Headmaster, one full term’s notice in advance of the enrolment/withdrawal date.
Failure to tender such notice will result in a term’s fees being payable in accordance with clause 4 of the signed undertaking.
Insurance
Compulsory Group Personal Accident Insurance is payable annually with the first term’s fees. This cover includes medical rescue services whilst at school or engaged in formal school activities. The anticipated premium for 2009 is R90.

1. The College Board reserves the right to revise fees at any time during the school year.
2. Fee accounts will be mailed prior to the commencement of each term.
3. Fees cannot be remitted for enforced absence due to ill health, or if a girl is required to leave as a result of misbehaviour, or for any other reason.
